The initial tier’s assignment will be done based on the total trucking miles between customers and GLT of the last 6 months. Every dollar moved with GLT generates one mile. The required miles to access each tier, will be the miles registered from Jan1st to Jun 30th, and Jul 1st to Dec 31st.
The program will be run the first week of January and July, which means every 6 months customers will have the chance to experience an upgrade or a downgrade depending on whether they hit the number of trucking miles required for each tier.
If a customer does not have a 6-month record by January or July, it will have to wait for the next cutoff date to be assigned a tier and be included in our program.
This program will be renewed every 6 months, and benefits might change.
This program can be paused, canceled, or postponed at GLT’s policies and discretion.
All extra charges will apply for this benefit, excluding Detention at Delivery, Pickup attempt, and Lumper fees.
These days will start counting from the delivery date.
These days are business days, not calendar days.
Holidays are not included.
Even if these charges will not be transferred to your company, GLT Logistics might request your help (in some cases) to obtain information/documentation to have an internal dispute with the trucking company and try to minimize our loss.
Carriers usually have until 3 months (by law) to bill extra charges. Our general promise is 30 days; however, you will be covered by this benefit with us after days 5-7.
For upgraded members, this benefit will apply to extra charges billed 5 to 7 days after July 16, 2024 through December 31 of this year. For members who joined in January 2024 and are continuing into the second semester, this benefit will start from the first day of July.
This benefit will apply as long as GLT Logistics is the original billing party.
These benefits will cover cargoes that do not exceed $25,000 of declared value. If the declared value is higher, we can offer an upgrade for an additional cost reducing the $35 value of the general one.
Non general cargo such as fragile items, perishables, electronics (Laptops, cellphones, computers, and others), artworks, household goods, aircraft parts, Motor Vehicles & Motorcycles and shipments with certain carriers are subject to underwriters’ approval.
Excluding commodities: Jewelry, livestock, guns, cigarettes and tobacco and others subject to policy conditions.
Insurances will be exclusively redeemed for cargoes transported by GLT Logistics.
GLT assists in obtaining insurance on your shipment, through its network of insurance company referrals, however GLT Logistics is not an insurance company.
This benefit is not cumulative month by month and cannot be redeemed in money.
Once you have redeemed all your Free Cargo Insurances of the month, you can continue using this service applying the regular insurance pricing. By being part of this program, you will get access to preferential rates for domestic – international cargo insurance services.
Dedicated and specialized operations teams will be assigned to your accounting our main Operations areas (LTL and OTR). In some other areas (Temperature Control and Special Services), not teams but specific specialists (individuals) will be assigned to your account operations management.
